FAQs
Do we have a Blue Cards?
All staff at Two Hearts Photography hold a current ‘Positive Notice Blue Card’ for Queensland.
Why do I have to register my child?
By registering your child, you give us consent to photograph your child. It also, provides us with your details to send you your private and secure online gallery for viewing.
Why do I have to register by 4pm the day before your chosen photo day?
With the new child safety restrictions on the use of devices in kindergarten, child care and early learning centres, we can no longer check for registrations while on site. Shoot lists will be created the night before photo day.
How long does photo day take?
We arrive around 8.30am, parents leave, the children settle and then we begin with individual photos. These usually take 10 minutes per child .We aim to take the group photo after individual photos are complete, unless otherwise directed by the centre.
How long until the portrait photos are available to view?
We have an estimated 6-8 week turnaround time on photo prints. This may be up to 2 weeks more for very large centres.
At Two Hearts Photography, we take your child’s privacy and safety seriously. Every image is personally edited by us. Your photos are never outsourced to third-party editing companies or processed through AI. This means every little face, smile, and moment is individually cared for by a real person who understands the importance of capturing your child beautifully.
You will be sent a private and secure gallery to view when the photos are ready, this usually takes between 2-3 weeks. If parents order before the galleries closes, prints will be delivered to their centre. Any images that are ordered after the gallery closing date will have to pay a small fee for postage to their home address.
What should my child wear for photos?
We find the more comfortable the kids are the better they photograph. Click HERE to see our useful tips and guide on what to wear.
Do we edit/photoshop?
We do not remove bumps and bruises from children’s faces or bodies, stains or dirt from clothing or any other obvious marks unless this is specifically requested by parents or guardians. If this is requested, additional editing charges may be applied. We make every effort to make sure faces and hands are clean and do a general tidy of hair.
What if my child is away sick on photo day?
With the help of your child’s centre, we give plenty of notice about photo day. At most centres, we will be there on other days during the week. We will endeavour to make every attempt to photograph your child on one of these days. Please let us know so we can try to reschedule your child.
Do you offer sibling photos?
We offer sibling photos only if they attend the same centre. Each child must be registered individually and registered for photos the same day. The sibling portraits will be added to the youngest child’s individual gallery and packages chosen from there.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have public liability insurance and are happy to provide proof, if requested.
What happens if it is raining or there is bad weather?
We pride ourselves on our beautiful “outdoor’ photographs, capturing the children in their element out in the playground. However, sometimes the universe is against us and we can experience bad weather. Most of the time we can find little spots here and there where we have some protection from the elements and carry on. However, if the bad weather looks like it's here for a while, we will look to reschedule, if possible.
If I have more than one child, when ordering, can I combine an order across two galleries?
Our ordering system is set up so that each gallery is processed separately, so you cannot combine images from multiple galleries into a single order. You will need to place an order within each gallery individually.
How long is my child's gallery available?
Galleries are archived after six months. If you would like to purchase from archived galleries, there will be an archive retrieval fee to re-activate the gallery online.
